Hebrews 4:16 reminds us to “come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in the time of need.”
Great grace is available for every believer. We have to access the great grace of God by faith. We have to decide to deliberately believe God for the working power of His grace in our lives. Because of the great grace of God, we are in right standing with Him if we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.
Now we accept this grace by faith. So hold fast to your confession of faith – victory is already yours. You “hold fast” from a position of faith in the promises of the Word of God. Satan is the one trying to steal the victory that Jesus has already obtained for you. Hold fast to it!
There’s more good news in Hebrews 4:16 which tells us to “come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in the time of need.” We don’t have to coward up to the throne of grace. God said to come, advance, rise and improve your condition. How should you advance to the throne? Boldly, reflecting a courageous and daring spirit.
Do you know that even as Christians, we miss it, we fail sometimes? We fail even though we have been filled with the Holy Spirit, after we’ve been given the Word of God and the authority to use the Name of Jesus. Yes, even though we’ve been provided with all the spiritual weaponry to win every single time, we sometimes fail.
But, God is not sitting on the throne with a big stick waiting to beat us when we fail. Although we deserve justice, God extends to us tender mercy, compassion and love. That’s why we can fearlessly and confidently go before the throne of grace.
We all have to fall on God’s mercy at the throne. When we get to the throne, there is something God has waiting for us: “…grace to help in good time for every need, appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it.”
I encourage you to go to the throne of Grace. Seek and find the mercy and grace of God that He extends to you daily. The great grace of God is just for you.
