How do you put the power of the blood covenant to work so it can impact your life and change the things you need changed around you? The blood of Jesus can change your life. The Word of God brings life to your flesh.
My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them [His words] depart from your eyes; keep them [His words] in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health [which means medicine or strength] to all their flesh.
(Prov. 4:20-22)
If we can take the Word of God and move it from our minds into our hearts, it not only moves things in the spirit realm, but it will manifest things in the physical realm also. God’s Word is life to your spirit, and according to His Word, it can also be life to all your flesh.
Remember, the Scripture that tells us the way to overcome is in Revelation 12:11: “And they overcame him [the devil] by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony.” God wants your words to be a repeat of what He says. He knows if your words are a repeat of what He says, then you will be able to live and enjoy the promises He wants to give you with those words.
But, the devil wants you to repeat what he says. John 8:44 says Satan is a liar and the father of lies. He will try to get you to say what he wants. He’s smart enough to know that what you say is what you will eventually believe.
The devil knows you will get what you say because that is the way God planned it. God wants the best for you. He wants you to speak the promises that are built upon the blood covenant. When you speak those promises, you access the abundant life God planned for you to enjoy.
God’s Abundant Covenant
There’s a difference between the promises of God and the covenant of God. Some people think the promises are the covenant. Actually, the promises are built on the covenant. When you sign the covenant with your words, you become a born-again believer. That means you have the foundation to access all the promises of God. The promises are not automatic. You can ratify the covenant and still not enjoy all the promises.
The promises found in the Word include health, prosperity, proper relationships and every other good thing. But we don’t start out with all these promises working in our lives even though we’re born-again believers. Why? Because God planned for us to access them as we believe in the Word. It’s up to each Christian to take the steps of applying God’s Word so it will take root in his heart.
