I Am Crucified With Christ

by Tim Davidson | A Verse A Day

“I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life, which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.”

(Gal. 2:20 NASB)

I say this verse as a regular part of my daily devotion. It means to me that it’s not all about me, but rather Jesus is who it’s all about.

The Message Bible says: “Christ’s life showed me how, and enabled me to do it. I identified myself completely with him. Indeed, I have been crucified with Christ. My ego is no longer central. It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion, and I am no longer driven to impress God. Christ lives in me. The life you see me living is not ‘mine,’ but it is lived by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

We have been put to death on the cross with Christ in His crucifixion; yet we live on in the flesh. We now live for God because He loves us and gave Himself for us.

Today’s Thought to Take With You:

I am crucified with Christ and I live His life through me trusting Him today.
