Last night Loretta had a dream. The dream was detailed and definitely from God. In her dream she was on the seashore with her family. There was a storm and the waves were coming in and beating on the shore and us. When the waves hit the shore, they caused the sand to shift and expose treasures that had been previously covered. But because of the storm we were unable to get them. Some of the treasures were artifacts from ancient civilizations.

Then there was a large wave coming that was almost as strong as a tsunami. It appeared that total destruction was imminent. Although we were in the rain and had been hit by waves, we were not wet. Then Loretta’s father led the way to his beach house where we took shelter.

At the beach house there were children we knew we had to protect. We went up to the balcony and looking through binoculars, we could see the treasures exposed at the shore. But now there were sharks there. There was a man on the balcony who had the appearance of a lifeguard. He asked, “Do you know where these sharks came from?” We didn’t know. He told us that just before the big wave came, a lady came to help look for treasures. He said she was not supposed to be there and she was the one who brought the sharks. The lifeguard told her to leave and when she did, the sharks disappeared.

In her dream, it was the next morning. We had survived the storm and the night, and now the sun was shining and we could easily find the treasures. Loretta’s father was jumping with joy and proclaiming, “The storm is over and it is time to enter into the rest. I am going to look for the treasures and enjoy the rest.”

As Loretta shared this dream with me, I knew in my spirit that this dream was not just for me. Even though I need a miracle today, I know by the Spirit of God that you do, too. This is a dream God has given to the church for this time.

You may be in the battle of your life. You may have been pounded by wave after wave after wave for a long time. You have been praying for deliverance and feeling like you can’t take another wave, only to discover that the next wave looks like a tsunami. It appears like this killer wave is coming to shore for the final, fatal blow.

But today I bring you good news fresh from the heart of God. The weapon that the enemy has formed to destroy you will not destroy you. The wave may still come to shore, but if you stand in faith, you will not get wet and God will provide a place of shelter. And after the storm, the treasures that have been hidden from you will be exposed and you will walk onto the battlefield and take the spoils. Although the enemy has a plan of defeat for you, if you stand in faith knowing that God is your deliverer and avenger, then the attack and the storm will not harm you, but instead will work for your benefit. If the enemy had known the victory that you are going to walk in, he would have reconsidered his attack.

You must always remember what God’s Word says about you and the victory that God has planned for you. When the enemy tells you that you’re not strong enough to survive the pressures of this world, God’s Word says that greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4)

When the enemy says that you won’t make it through the trial, God’s Word says that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.
(Phil. 4:13)

When the enemy says you are trapped and there is no way out, God’s Word says that He will always provide a way of escape for you.
(1 Cor. 10:13)

When the enemy says that the opposition is too great, God’s Word said that no weapon formed against you will prosper.
(Isa. 54:17)

When the enemy says victory is impossible, God’s Word says this is the victory that has overcome the world – our faith.
(1 John 5:4)

The enemy is a liar and his only weapon is his mouth. The weapon of his warfare only has power when you add belief to his words. The weapons of our warfare are not worldly, but are mighty in God for the tearing down of strongholds. The sword of the Spirit is the Word of God. When the enemy comes at you with lies in his mouth, then you speak to the enemy with the Word of God in your mouth. The Word of God will always overpower the words of the enemy.

Fear and faith are opposites. The Word of God contains faith, the words of the enemy contain fear. When the enemy speaks and shoots you with his bullets of fear, faith is your bullet proof vest that will keep the fear from penetrating into your body. Faith is the shield that is manufactured by hearing the Word of God and it is placed in the position of protection through your belief and confidence in what God says.

The Word says that if you believe, all things will be possible for you. Even when things look impossible, you must remember that Jesus said, “With God all things are possible.”

When it looks like you are facing imminent defeat, remember this. God has a different plan. His plan is imminent victory.
