Jesus, My Savior

by Tim Davidson | Uncategorized

“And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”

(Acts 4:12 NASB)

Jesus is the One who saves us. He is the fulfillment of all the requirements and the provider of all the necessities. Jesus said in John 14:6 that He is the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to God by any other name.

Buddha doesn’t get us there. Mohammad doesn’t do it. Allah falls short of the glory of God. Only Jesus can be trusted to give complete redemption. Jesus is our Savior.

The Message Bible says: “Salvation comes no other way; no other name has been or will be given to us by which we can be saved, only this one.”

We often think about the fact that there is no one else to call on to be saved. But think with me for a moment, this verse tells us that Jesus is the name we must call on to be saved. There is a Savior, thank God.

Lost sinners need a new birth. They need eternal life. They need the remission of their sins. They need to be changed from lost to found and from darkness to light. Jesus Christ provides all this and so much more.

Today’s Thought to Take With You:

No one but Jesus saves me and makes me new. So I put my complete trust in Jesus.
