Mercy is our Father rescuing us out of distressful situations because of our relationship, not our record.

Fathers, do not provoke or irritate or fret your children [do not be hard on them or harass them], lest they become discouraged and sullen and morose and feel inferior and frustrated. [Do not break their spirit].
(Col. 3:21)

  • The manifestation of pressure can produce aggravation which leads to frustration or reconciliation which leads to elevation – the choice is ours.
  • It’s easy to be long-suffering with someone if you have suffered long in the same areas.
  • Confrontation is a two-way street; no one has the right-of-way unless they are willing to yield.
  • No one can properly confront another unless he or she is willing to be confronted.
  • The beauty of Christianity is not the work we do, but the relationship we maintain and the atmosphere provided by that relationship.
  • A strong Christian is one who does the right thing under the wrong circumstances.

The Lord judges the people; judge me, O Lord, and do me justice according to my righteousness [my rightness, justice, and right standing with You] and according to the integrity that is in me.
    (Ps. 7:8)

  • Mercy is our Father rescuing us out of distressful situations because of our relationship, not our record.
  • Some people are so afraid of failure that they never succeed.
  • Focus on your capabilities instead of your flaws if you don’t want to be out of focus.
  • What you are is a result of what you’ve done where you’ve been.
  • When you start sinking, pay attention to what you’re thinking.

Dave Meyer is the vice president of Joyce Meyer Ministries. He has served in full-time ministry for more than 35 years, and his wisdom and stewardship in finance and administration have helped build Joyce Meyer Ministries into what it is today.

Dave has long been a stabilizing force behind the scenes, helping to support Joyce and build an organization that ministers the love and message of the Gospel to millions each year. His steadfastness, patience, and obedience in waiting to hear God's voice are a cornerstone of this ministry.

Dave Meyer played a vital role from the beginning—including everything from coordinating Joyce’s initial conferences to securing radio and television stations for the ministry’s very first broadcasts. And he continues to be a big part of the organization, supporting Joyce in all she does, periodically contributing to the ministry’s magazine, and appearing on the Enjoying Everyday Life program.

A veteran of the United States Army, Dave is also passionate about America’s godly heritage and the history behind the nation’s biblical principles. In his very first book, Freedom Is Costly, But Priceless, he presents how citizens can become an unquenchable force for good in their families, schools, churches, and government…and carry their freedom to the next generation.

Dave has been married to Joyce for over 57 years, and they have four grown children, 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Dave and Joyce Meyer make their home in St. Louis, Missouri.
