Peddling Your Fruit

Are you a fruit salesman?

An instructor at Rhema Bible Training Center once told me, “The fruit of the Spirit is the evidence that we have of knowing God and walking with God.”

Hey! All of us need to be fruit salesman. We need to have a cart filled to the top with fruit and we need to go around selling that fruit every day!

We need to shout, “Fruit for sale. I’ve got fruit today. Get your fruit right here!”

Fresh Fruit
Why? Well…think about it. This is no different than one of the largest grocery stores…if you are continually handing out fruit then it’s ALWAYS going to be fresh.

On the other hand, if you only give your fruit out once in awhile, like only when you’re in the mood, some of that fruit at the bottom of your cart is going to get rotten.

Do you know what happens to that rotten fruit at the bottom? It starts to rot some of the good stuff on the top!

Ever hear a famous football player say, “I play when I want to play?” (Okay, we won’t go there….) Nope, you can’t just give out your spiritual fruit only when you feel like it. You need to give of your supply each day, that way it’s always fresh! Not only that, you will always have the evidence that you know God and you are walking with Him!

“The willing and obedient shall eat the good of the land” (Isa. 1:19).

God gave you good fruit…now go give it away!

Scott, a native of Minneapolis, Minnesota grew up with a passion for playing drums. By the time he was 17, he had played with several Christian bands and once had the opportunity to tour with Whiteheart... however, it was turned down because God had better plans!

God's better plans included marriage to his wife, Heather, becoming a student at North Hennepin Community College, and subsequently moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma for two years of Bible school at Rhema Bible Training Center. Scott's two year training included an emphasis in youth ministry.

After graduation, Pastor Scott served on staff at Living Word Christian Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota (Pastor Mac Hammond) under youth pastor Steve Munds.

Scott's vision is to teach and preach the uncompromised Word of God by precept and example; to disciple others into a position of leadership that they can take with them throughout their life.
