Father, since I have so much worth in Your eyes, I don’t need to find worth in others’ eyes. Continue to remind me of that. Resisting the pressure of my friends to do things that I know are not right can be very hard at times. Give me the strength to overcome it through Your love in my life.
Give me the ability to say no and to not follow the crowd. Help me to be a trendsetter and a world-changer rather than a follower. I know that You are my God and You want me to be in the world but not of it. Help me to catch that vision. I know that this world is not my home. Heaven is my home. Things of this world shouldn’t sweep me away, because what I have waiting for me at home is so much better.
Lord, give me the words to say that will impact my friends’ lives, but don’t let me be sucked into their activities that do not glorify You.
Help me to not worry about their making fun of me for my convictions, but help me stand for You always.
