Proper Alignment

by Jeff Jones | Uncategorized

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.
(Prov. 18:21 NKJV)
Have you ever tried to drive your car when the front end is out of alignment? What was that like? I’m guessing that you experienced the same thing that happens to me, the car tends to pull in a direction that you don’t want to go. In fact, you probably end up having to constantly apply pressure in the other direction just to go straight. After a while, doesn’t that get draining?

Well, the same thing happens with our lives if we’re wanting to go one direction but our very own words work against us. We need to have proper alignment between our goals in life and the words that come out of our mouths. Because if they don’t line up, then we’ll never get to our getting, we’ll never make it to the finish. Things just aren’t going to work out.

As today’s text reminds us, our words either produce death or they produce life. So, are you constantly talking yourself out of your dreams? Are you pulling yourself off the road of success by your words? If so, you can stop. You can change direction and purposely choose to align your words with your dreams.

Did you know that you can rewire your brain? If you have been speaking negative about yourself, about your situation, or lot in life— you can change by replacing that negative talk with positive confessions. When you do that, you are literally creating new pathways of thought in your brain and will begin to see yourself as successful.

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he…
(Prov. 23:7)

So, let’s make some positive confessions about ourselves.

I am a child of the Most High God. I have wisdom from above that is easily received. As a child of God I am led by the Spirit of God. The peace of God rules and reigns in my heart and my life. God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of love, and power and a sound mind. I have the mind of Christ and I know all things. My mind is sharp, my memory is blessed, and I walk in the favor of God. I am never alone because my God promised that He would never leave me nor forsake me. Because I walk in the favor of God, it means that I’m always getting good deals, preferred seating, opportunities for advancement and promotions that just come my way. I’m blessed to be a blessing, and my life is a testimony to the power of God. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. My life is full, my soul is satisfied, I have more than enough provision, because I serve the God who is more than enough. I am happy, joyful and the joy of the Lord is my strength, because the dreams of my heart, and the words of my mouth are in proper alignment. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

Now go out there today and make a difference!
