“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”
The word “sanctify” means: to separate us for God’s use, to purify us and consecrate us for His own purposes. As God sanctifies us, He reproduces His holiness in our lives. Jesus tells us that the process God uses to reproduce Himself in our lives is by introducing us to truth. God’s Word is truth and with it we are changed.
The Message Bible says: “Make them holy—consecrated—with the truth; Your word is consecrating truth.”
God’s Word is the truth. So let this truth make you completely separated and reserved for God’s use only. There should be a sign on each believer that says: THIS IS GOD”S PRIVATE PROPERTY. NO TRESPASSING ALLOWED! The enemy doesn’t have his hold on us any longer nor can he claim a right to use us for his purposes anymore.
We believe the Word of God. God’s Word is truth. The truth sanctifies us and we now belong to God and are available to Him at all times. Christians have the power and presence of God in them daily to overcome every temptation and win every battle we face. We are set apart by truth.
God’s Word is truth and sets me apart for God in my daily living experiences.
