Dodging Bullets of Death
As an itinerant minister, I have been in numerous near-death situations when my airplanes were either struck by lightening or experienced mechanical failure while in the air. When you’re thousands of feet above the ground and things don’t work out the way you plan, you had better know in Whom your security lies.
My trust is always in God! My airplanes are top-of-line aircrafts, and my pilots are highly skilled; however, the Bibles says, “It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man” (Ps. 118:8).
No matter where I travel, I pray ahead of time for safety and protection. I put my angels to work by speaking the Word over my life and family (Heb. 1:14 AMP). I make daily faith confessions that include my safety, health, finances, family and so on.
Therefore, when I travel, I don’t travel in fear. Because my life has been spared numerous times, I am convinced that I am indestructible. That’s not me being arrogant. Instead, that is the way we “faith people” are supposed to talk.
The Word of God assures us that as long as we remain in God’s will, we will be invincible, unbeatable, unconquerable, unshakable, immovable and indomitable! My faith is in what Hebrews says:
Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he [God] also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
(Heb. 2:14-15)
You have every right to divine protection just as I have. You are no longer in bondage to death because God stripped the devil of his authority to kill you at will. If the devil could kill you, don’t you think he would have done so a long time ago?
I don’t care what kind of hell Satan throws your way, don’t give in to the pressure. You are the righteousness of God, which means you’re a bulletproof believer! Bulletproof Christians live a life of faith. Bulletproof Christians know that their authority in Christ gives them the right to live as overcomers (1 John 5:4-5).
I like what Proverbs 18:10 says: “The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.” The “name of the Lord” refers to the authority of God. Therefore, when trouble comes, “run” to the Word of God, the final authority on how to handle trouble.
Ephesians 6:10-18 says that the Word is the whole armor of God and that it will teach you how to stand your ground during evil times (verse 13-14 AMP).
The Word is your ultimate “bulletproof vest.” Make living by it a lifestyle, and your life is guaranteed to be secure!
