The Love of A Mother: The Love of The Father

by | The Anointed Word

“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us” (1 John 5:14 KJV).

Once we understand the revelation of the love of God, we won’t have a problem with our faith. One way to understand the love of the Father is to understand the love of a mother. Most mothers have tender hearts, especially towards children. And you can pretty much relate to the following example I am about to give you about love and the love of God, and the love of a mother.

There is nothing I would not do for my children. If they want something I will move heaven and earth to get it for them, because I love them. I love them deeply. Whatever it is I am going to do it. If someone gets in my way, I am sorry for them.

So my children can come into my house and they can go in the refrigerator, they can lie on my bed, they can do whatever they want to do, because I have a covenant with them. Of course, if they do wrong, I am not going to tolerate sin from them.

But, guess what. The love I have for my children, or the love that any mother has for her children can’t match the love God has for you. The love that a woman has for her children or for her nieces and nephews or even for her parents is not greater than the love God has for you. If we understand that He loves us, then we would understand that if we ask Him for anything, He would get it for us.

Now you can love a lot of people, but only those people that you have a covenant with will you do certain things for. With that in mind, God loves everybody, but He is in covenant with the believer—you. And there are things that God has provided for us that people that don’t have a covenant with Him can not have.

The Father sees us as His covenant people, the people He promised to love forever. And we must understand this love in order to allow Him to bless us the way He wants to bless us.

Understanding the love of the Father will cause us to stop struggling with our faith, because we will see that when we go to Him and ask Him for any thing, He is going to get it for us, when we ask in faith.
