Did you know that the Word of God is light? The Bible says:
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
(Ps. 119:105 KJV)
The Word also says:
Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
(Ps. 199:11)
The Word of God is the balance and is the range of truth that we as people need. It validates our very existence and purpose.
Within the guidelines of God’s Word, exists the will of God. God wants to reveal His will to us. And He does that through His Word…the Bible.
The Word of God is the will of God and the will of God is the Word of God. God wants us to get into His Word. WHY? (I’m glad you asked.) Because His Word does three things:
- His Word is a truth detector.
Continue in My word and you’ll know the truth and it will set you free.
(John 8:31-32) - His Word is a sin deflector.
Thy word have I have hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee.
(Ps. 119:11) - His Word is a faith inflator.
Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God.
(Rom. 10:17)
There is a place that God has given you to stand in and when you are in that place, it also provides His position, His presence, His power and His provision.
Now, that’s a whole lot of “P’s,” but do you know what? It’s true! God’s Word is TRUE!
When you get into God’s Word, He begins to move you into a position where each of those P’s will powerfully affect your life and the lives of those around you.
