We Could All Use A Little Hope

by Jeff Jones | Uncategorized

So I pray that God, who gives you hope, will keep you happy and full of peace as you believe in him. May you overflow with hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.(Romans 15:13, NLT)

Everybody needs some hope. One of the benefits of being a follower of Jesus Christ is always being hopeful. It doesn’t matter what situations we may face, we can always remain hopeful if choose to keep our trust in God.

This week Beth and I have been able to spend a couple of days with a group of pastors who are a part of the Champions Network. It’s a network of churches that support the ministry of Pastor Joel Osteen as he travels around the country delivering the message of hope.

You can’t imagine some of the opposition that Pastor Joel gets from some members of the Body of Christ for being too fluffy or too simple in his message. But honestly we’ve never witnessed anyone better at breaking down the core message of the gospel of Jesus Christ in terms that everyone can understand. The message that God is for you, and that He is not against you. That God is good, and He is good all the time. That you can take God at His word, and see His word change your life. Our God is truly the God of hope, and He wants all of us to experience for ourselves the life changing reality that hope brings us.

It’s these truths that we can build our lives upon, and it’s these truths that the world needs to hear.
And remember, no matter what you are facing today, you are not alone. The God of all hope is on your side. He wants to bring you happiness and peace in the midst of your believing in him. He wants hope to just be second nature to you, today and forever.

Prayer: Father, thank You for being the God of all hope, for always being there for me and for always being on my side. Thanks for letting me see beyond my current circumstances to see a bright future in and through You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
