“From whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.”
Jesus Christ holds His body together and makes all of its parts work perfectly. We are those parts. We grow and become strong because of love. So when every part does its job properly, as it should, the whole body grows and builds itself up in love.
The Message Bible says: “He keeps us in step with each other. His very breath and blood flow through us, nourishing us so that we will grow up healthy in God, robust in love.”
The nutrition of the Body of Christ comes from what every joint supplies, according to the working of each individual part. We are totally dependent on Jesus and each other for our daily supply. Our individual contribution causes the growth of the body and the edifying of itself in love.
Today I am supplying the Body of Christ my needed part for our growth in love.
