What to Do When Mountains Are in Your Way

by Kenneth W. Hagin | Uncategorized

“…If ye have faith, and doubt not…ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive” (Matt. 21:21-22).

This Scripture passage is talking about moving mountains in prayer. Jesus said that if you pray to God in faith, you can move those mountains or obstacles that try to hinder you from receiving the promises of God in your life.

You may be in the biggest financial mess you’ve ever been in. You may be sick and afflicted in your body. You may have problems you think are impossible to solve. But you possess within yourself the ability to talk to your loving Heavenly Father who can solve every one of your problems. That ability is called prayer.

Prayer is the power that moves mountains! Just wishing and hoping won’t get the job done. God is a faithful God who hears and answers prayer. That’s why we need to learn the secret of dwelling so closely with God in prayer that He can move those mountains in our lives out of the way.

If you want God to move mountains out of your life – the problems you can’t overcome – then you must learn how to pray scripturally and expect an answer. The Bible says if you ask, you shall receive.

One way people weaken their prayer life is that when they pray to God and don’t see an immediate answer, they begin to waver and assume it’s not God’s will to answer that particular prayer.

But the rules concerning mountain-moving prayer are always the same. If you ask according to God’s Word, then you know you’ve prayed according to God’s will (1 John 5:14-15). When your petitions line up with God’s will, then you can expect an answer.

Don’t waver in your faith just because you don’t see the situation change immediately. As soon as you ask in faith, God begins to work behind the scenes on your behalf.

God doesn’t want us to be resigned to defeat or failure in any area. He wants us to overcome the difficulties and obstacles in life through prayer that is rooted and grounded solidly on God’s Word.

You hold the key to success in your life, because prayer is a choice. Are you going to pray to God who holds infinite power in His hands? Or are you going to remain prayerless?

You have the power to move the mountains out of your life by praying to a faithful God who hears and answers prayer! Just pray according to God’s Word in faith, expect your answer, and remember – nothing is too hard for your Heavenly Father!
