When Is It Going to be Over? Part One

by | Uncategorized

What’s going on in your life right now? Do you ever feel your life could be the verses in a Country and Western song?

That’s exactly what the Psalms are about. They are basically prayers of people who were facing critical situations just like you and I do. They were people who seemed hopeless, people who were in need of deliverance, people who were believing for turnarounds and breakthroughs in their lives. You could say that the book of Psalms is the oldest Country and Western album known to mankind.

In the Psalms, David expresses his discouragement, his feelings of being all alone and feelings of wanting to die from time to time; however, most of his Psalms end with a message of hope.

It seems that no matter how low David gets, he always anticipates God’s divine intervention. That’s something that you and I must always remember. We’re all human beings, we all have our moments – I don’t care how spiritual you are.

There are times when you finally reach your “breaking point,” as they say, and it all comes crashing in. But thank God He is faithful. We should always anticipate God’s divine intervention in our lives.

Warrior or Wimp?
We see in the Word that Elijah was a great man of God. But one moment he was like Superman and the next he was Clark Kent. He went from warrior to wimp all in one day.

One moment he was doing great exploits for God and the next moment he was wanting to die because some woman threatened to kill him. He could stand up against all the prophets of Baal, call fire down from heaven, but when Jezebel said, “I’m going to kill you,” he went and found a juniper tree, got under it and cried.

Today we don’t hide under juniper trees, we have closets, bedrooms and other places where we go to cry when we feel like we’re all alone and nobody understands. “How long am I going to have to go through this?” “When is this going to be over?” “God, why is this happening to me?”

All of us have had a little bit of Elijah in us. One moment, we’re singing our praises for the great things God’s done and the next moment, we’re wondering, “Where is God?”

God has instructed me this year to minister on breakthrough and turnaround in every area of our lives. I’ve come across so many people who have been experiencing some of the most challenging situations they’ve ever faced.

Just like in the Psalms, no matter what you’re going through don’t ever lose sight of the fact that God can and will intervene.

Dr. Jerry Savelle was an average, blue-collar man who was struggling and needed God's help. While he considered himself a "nobody," when he became a believer God told him not to worry about it because He was a master at making champions out of nobodies. God has since taken Dr. Savelle from being a constant quitter to a man who knows how to stand on the Word of God until victory is experienced. Because of the life-changing combination of God's faithfulness and Dr. Savelle's "no quit" attitude, his life is totally different than it was thirty-eight years ago.

Since 1969, Dr. Savelle traveled the world teaching people how to win in life. Dr. Savelle ministered in more than three thousand churches and in twenty-six nations, and has overseas offices in the United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada.

God used Dr. Savelle to impact people who are burned out on religion and who have backslidden in their walk with God, as well as Christians who have a need to hear the Word of God presented in terms applicable to their lives, dreams, and destinies.
