“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?” (1 John 5:4-5 KJV).
What happens when believers act on the Word of God? They become what 1 John 5:4-5 says. Their faith develops from meditating the Word of God, speaking the Word of God over their situation, and from praising God for His delivering power in them.
And in so doing, they are world overcomers.
In one of our church services a particular senior citizen came to the healing line. I laid hands on her along with the rest of the people that had come to be healed, and sent everybody back to their seat. But she wouldn’t leave.
Now, I’m going on to do other things in the service. And a little later I saw her shouting and praising God. But I continued on while she was still there.
Finally she grabbed me and she said, “I have to testify.” I said, “Honey, I have to move on to the next thing in the service.” She said, “I have to testify.” I said, “Testify about what?” She said, “You see what I’m doing? I couldn’t do that because of the disc in my back. That’s why I’m shouting.” I said, “Is that right? Well, I’m going to let you testify.”
She came on up on the steps and I said, “You mean you couldn’t climb these steps?” “No,” she said. “You mean you couldn’t walk across the platform like that?” She said, “No, I couldn’t walk.” I said, “You couldn’t walk?” She said, “No, I couldn’t walk.”
I grabbed her arm and said, “Well, come on, let’s do it together then. She went on across the front with me; she came back across the front with me, glory to God. She was healed. And she was shouting the victory.
Well, we all can shout the victory. Healing is the will of God. He is Jehovah Rapha. He is the Lord your God that heals you. He wants you healed from the crown of your head to the very soles of your feet, and it’s time to walk in God’s healing power, and walk in God’s best for you.
A world overcomer is anyone who believes and acts on God’s Word.
