“Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?” (1 John 5:5 KJV)
It is especially important to establish the truth in us, particularly in the times that we are dealing with. We are in challenging economic times, and we are dealing with times of war. Because of the distress that many people are feeling today, it is necessary to understand who we are in Christ, the Anointed One, and that we were born winners.
First John 5:1 says that anyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God. If you believe that, then you are born of God. You are a winner. John went on to say, that anyone who loves God, loves those that are born of God.
First John 5:2-4 says,
By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments: and His commandments are not grievous. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world.
If you are born again, then you are a world overcomer. You should say it about yourself, “I am an overcomer.” That means you are not a loser. That means you are a victor. That means you were born a winner and it is your time to shine.
A Winner All The Way
Never forget that you came into this world as a victor. You came into this world as a winner. When all those sperm fought to get to that egg, there was one that was especially strong and anointed to get there. It was you. You came into this world as a victor from the very beginning of your existence. And don’t you ever forget it.
And then you became born again. So the Bible says whatsoever or whosoever is born of God overcomes the world. You are an overcomer. “…and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith” (1 John 4:4).
That is about as plain as you can make it. Those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God are winners. It is then obvious that those who don’t believe that Jesus is the Son of God then will not overcome.
There is only one way to life, and it is not through Mohammed. His name is not Hare Krishna. His name is not Buddha.
His name is JESUS.
Jesus is the way, and He is the only One that could, and the only One that did purchase your victory with His blood. All others will have to bow to the name of Jesus. He is your Lord. And He created you a winner in this life. So, no matter what you face in this life, know that in Jesus, our Anointed Savior, you win.
