We are in a day when more than ever we are going to need to enter into a lifestyle of faith and live our entire lives accordingly. Things in the world around us are continually growing worse. However, it was for times like this that Paul told Timothy years ago to”Fight the good fight of faith.”
“Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” (1 Tim 6:12 NKJV)
What does it mean to”fight the good fight of faith?” Fighting the good fight is a matter of maintaining a good confession. All too often we allow life’s circumstances to put words in our mouths that are contrary to what God has spoken over us. The truth is that God has called us to live differently than that. God wants you and me to speak in line with His Word. When we maintain a good report, or as I sometimes call it, “A God Report” (speaking things that are in agreement with His Word over us), we are taking one of the key steps to fighting the good fight of faith.
This is really important because if we want to please God we are going to have to walk by faith. Without faith it is impossible to please God (see Hebrews 11:6).
Maintaining a “God Report” will help us to keep our eyes off of what things look like around us and help us to put things in the right perspective, the perspective of God’s Word. This is the fight that we have, staying in faith means not just accepting what we see but looking to God’s word to find out what He sees and choosing to speak and live by that.
So no matter what you are facing today remember that God has a good plan and he sees you as an overcomer.
In the face of circumstances—fight the good fight, maintain a”God Report”.

At Family Church we believe there has never been a more important time in history to be connected with a local church. It is our hope that you find Family Church a place that you can call home. We believe that God places believers in the body as He wants. However, we also believe you need to have the right information in order to make that decision. This is one of the goals of our website. The other goal of our website is ministry. We want you to be able to find the information you need to grow and mature in the Word of God.
“Discover Life!” is what God spoke to Pastor Gary when he started Medicine Hat Family Church and it is with this in mind that all areas of ministry are approached, helping you to discover the amazing life that God has for you.
We believe that the Holy Spirit will minister to you as you spend time with us here and we welcome you to come back as often as possible.
May you live every day of your life.
