A Law is a Law because it Works

by | The Anointed Word

“For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus, have made me free from the law of sin and death” (Rom. 8:2).

Did you know that a law is called a law because it works? It’s just that simple. Let’s take the law of gravity for instance. If someone were to drop something off a tall building, I guarantee you the force of gravity will take over and cause whatever was dropped to hit the ground fast and hard. That’s because it’s a law and it works – period.

Now by knowing this, we can understand that there are spiritual laws that govern everything in the earth. They are the law of life and the law of sin and death. Either one can work in your life; however, the choice on which one operates in your life is up to you.

Let’s examine the law of sin and death. Fear is the perpetrator of the law of death and it allows Satan access to work against you. Then there is the law of life. Notice it is life – in Christ Jesus. Faith is the force that causes the law of life to produce blessings in your life.

Now listen to this statement very carefully: Fear is faith perverted. Did you get that? You see, when God created Adam in His very image and likeness; Adam was just like God with God like abilities. As long as Adam was connected to God, he was filled with faith and there was no fear in him.

Then the moment sin was conceived, Adam became disconnected from God and connected to Satan instead, this caused the force of faith that God put in man to become fear – or faith perverted.

Listen closely now, faith and fear work the same way – but the outcome is very different.

Faith comes by hearing the Word of God; fear comes by hearing the word of the world.

Faith is acting on what you believe; fear is also acting on what you believe – negatively.

Faith is released by the words of your mouth; fear is also released by the words of your mouth.

God’s word releases the force of faith to give you victory over every situation; speaking doubt releases the force of fear to work on creating the problem.

The choice is yours – choose life. Remember: the Spirit of the law of life in Christ Jesus has made you free from the law of fear and death. Stop and think on that.
