Colossians 2:15 says, “And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”
Jesus Christ came to earth to defeat Satan, and He did just that. He defeated Satan and gave us the authority to defeat Satan through His name. His victory is our victory.
When Jesus bowed His head and said “It is finished,” the world looked on as if He was defeated. Those who plotted against Him said, “That’s it. We killed him. He is dead and gone. He is defeated.”
But on the third day, the ground shook, the stone rolled away, and out He came, victorious over all.
They killed one man and thought it was over. They nailed two hands to a cross and believed the miracles were gone. They silenced one tongue and hoped the message was dead.
But on the day of Pentecost, according to Acts chapter two, when His Spirit fell, 3,000 men and women believed on Him.
One man died, but 3,000 took His place. Two hands were lifted and nailed to a cross, but 6,000 hands were lifted in praise to His name. One voice was silenced, but 3,000 took His message to the world. His victory is our victory.
As Peter addressed the crowd that day, he said, “Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Acts 2:21). His victory is available to all who will receive Him. His victory is our victory.
Our lives can be filled with peace and joy because He has purchased victory for us. We can have a lifestyle of victory, for His victory is our victory.
