There are so many things that will do us good if we only know how to access them. For example, you can have a key to an automobile, and probably everyone reading this knows how an automobile functions.
However, if you took an automobile and set it down in the middle of a remote tribe, chances are the people there would lack the knowledge and experience to access the power within this car.
You are so familiar with cars, you might forget how much there is to know about them. You know the key unlocks the door. But that only gets you inside. Once you get inside, you already know where to put the key in the ignition. And if you turn the key a certain way, the engine starts. But that is only the beginning.
There are rules and regulations to driving the car. That car will do a number of different things for you if you know what to do. But your ability to access the power that’s under the hood of that car is limited to your knowledge and application.
It’s the same way with the Word of God. There’s power in the blood of Jesus. But if we don’t know how to access that power, it just becomes knowledge that we file away somewhere.
In order to access the power of the blood, there are several things a believer needs to know. First of all, everything the blood is supposed to do has already been done in the spirit realm. The first three chapters of my book, “Life is in the Blood” outline scripture by scripture what Jesus’ blood bought for us on the cross. Once we understand that, the only thing left is for us to have faith in what the blood has done.
- You have to believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
- You have to believe that He died on the cross.
- You have to believe that God raised Him from the dead by His glory and by the Holy Spirit
The Power Is Available Now
Maybe you have already accessed that power and are born again. Then you have experienced this supernatural spiritual change. The old man died. The new man was resurrected to a new life.
But, if you have a cousin or a brother-in-law who’s lost, the access to salvation is still available. Nothing new has to happen in the spirit realm. What Jesus did for you, He doesn’t have to do again for them, because He did it once and for all, for all mankind.
