All Things Are of God

by | A Verse A Day

“And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation.”

(2 Cor. 5:18)

Because we are new creatures in Christ and our past is passed away, God says that all things we have in Christ are new and of God. We have a new relationship, a new heart, and a new nature. We have a new Father, a new family and a new future. We have a new love, a new language and a new life to live everyday.

The Message Bible says: “All this comes from the God who settled the relationship between us, and him, and then called us to settle our relationships with each other.”

God has done it all. He sent Jesus Christ to make harmony between Himself and us, and He has appointed us to serve in the ministry of making harmony between God and others. We must simply share our faith in Jesus with others to encourage them to trust in Jesus also.

Today’s Thought to Take With You:

I’m a new creature in Christ and I can now help others by telling them the Good News that they can be reconciled to God through Jesus.
