Apostle Ricky L. Nutt was born and raised in Bakersfield, California.
In 1975, Mt. Calvary Church of God in Christ, in Richmond, California, licensed Ricky Nutt as a Minister of the Gospel. There he served in the capacity of Sunday School Instructor, and later as a volunteer Chaplain in the San Francisco Jail. In 1980, Ricky Nutt established Revival Center Ministries (RCM) in Vallejo, California. RCM began with eight members, and immediately began tremendous growth, attracting young people, and families.
During this time, he also was employed with the Vallejo Unified School District as a Guidance Counselor at Hogan High School. For many years, Ricky L. Nutt acted as a counselor, role model, and mentor to the youth of Franklin Middle School, Hogan High School, and Jesse Bethel High School. Years later, many of these youth became members and eventually leaders of RCM.
