“And, behold, there was a woman, which had a Spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself. And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity” (Luke 13:11-12).
Notice the authority Jesus uses in this statement, “Woman, thou art loosed from your infirmity.” Jesus didn’t go up to the woman and say, “Father, I am praying and asking you to release this woman from this infirmity.” No, Jesus didn’t pray because He knew the will of God. He knew His authority, and so He issued a command.
When you and I are exercising authority over the devil, we must already know what God’s will is on the matter. You see, binding and loosing is not for you to pray a nice prayer. No, it is a command from you to the devil.
That is why you must know that you know you have authority. You also must know what the will of God is in that area before you exercise your authority.
Now, Jesus knew God anointed Him. Acts 10:38 tells us, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power….” So, then God was with Jesus by the anointing. And since God was with Jesus, He is with you today.
How is God with you? God is with you the same way He was with Jesus, by the anointing. Where is the anointing? The anointing is in you and on you. The Scripture says, “Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.” And you have the anointing upon you, that is the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Yes, you are dressed in the anointing of the Holy Ghost.
So Jesus didn’t pray; He knew the will of the Father, instead he said with authority, “Woman you are loosed from your infirmity.” And He laid His hands upon her and immediately she was made straight and glorified God.
When the ruler of the synagogue got upset because Jesus healed on the Sabbath day, Jesus said, “Ought not this woman who is a daughter of Abraham be free….” Now the key to the kingdom that Jesus operated here was authority over sickness and disease. It is a key that He gave to every believer.
Now in order for this to be our breakout year, we are going to have to walk in authority. Spiritual authority increases the more you operate it. So begin to exercise the key of the kingdom and command all sickness and disease to go in Jesus name, because it is the will of the Father.
