We grow by sharing. Share your “born again” experience with others. “If anyone publicly acknowledges Me as his friend, I will openly acknowledge him as My friend before My Father in heaven. But if anyone publicly denies Me, I will openly deny him before My Father in heaven” (Matt. 10:32-33 TLB).
We believe with our hearts, but we confess with our mouths. Romans 10:10 says “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
What we say in the confession of our mouths is a confirmation of what we believe in our hearts. “From the abundance of our hearts, the mouth speaketh.”
The more we share Jesus with the confession of our mouths, the more the confirmation is established in our hearts. So we confirm our faith by confession. Confession simply means “to say what God says.”
The more we confess, the more we will want to know what God has said. This causes us to read the Bible to know what God has said. Then we will have more to share.
As you share with others, it will personally enrich your inward experience. Christ will be more and more at home in your heart, living within you as you trust in Him.
“May you roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvelous love; and may you be able to feel and understand…how long, how wide, how deep, and how high His love really is; and to experience this love for yourself…And so at last you will be filled up with God Himself” (Eph. 3:17b-19 TLB).
