Don’t Shoot The Messenger

by Steve Marr | Articles, Business

Have you ever been tempted to shoot the messenger?

The Apostle Paul wrote, “Have I therefore become your enemy by telling you the truth?” (Gal. 4:16 NASB).

We don’t enjoy criticism, especially if it’s about our business. We tend to take a pride in what we do.

When we or our business are criticized, consider that an opportunity for improvement.

Identify the facts and make changes when appropriate.

If you respond with anger or defensiveness, you will shoot the messenger and lose important future feedback.

Embrace the messenger for future business success.
