Get the ‘L’ Out of the World

by | Uncategorized

There are no exceptions! YOU have a gift and a calling from God! How is that for an opening “wake up” statement?

Think about that a minute and allow that to get on the inside of you. YOU have a gift and a call from God. That’s pretty big when you think about it. Right?

Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. Do not neglect the GIFT that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership.
(1 Tim. 4:12-14 NKJV)

Now check this out…

“…Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.
(2 Tim. 1:9 NKJV)

So what are we looking at in these two verses? We’re looking at the importance of stirring yourself up.

The first thing that you need to understand is that you have a gifting and a calling from God. Secondly, you need to take the time to keep yourself stirred up in the gifts and callings God has given you.

Not shaken! Stirred! That’s a good beginning for getting the “L” out of the world!

Scott, a native of Minneapolis, Minnesota grew up with a passion for playing drums. By the time he was 17, he had played with several Christian bands and once had the opportunity to tour with Whiteheart... however, it was turned down because God had better plans!

God's better plans included marriage to his wife, Heather, becoming a student at North Hennepin Community College, and subsequently moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma for two years of Bible school at Rhema Bible Training Center. Scott's two year training included an emphasis in youth ministry.

After graduation, Pastor Scott served on staff at Living Word Christian Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota (Pastor Mac Hammond) under youth pastor Steve Munds.

Scott's vision is to teach and preach the uncompromised Word of God by precept and example; to disciple others into a position of leadership that they can take with them throughout their life.
