“For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.”
In yesterday’s verse Jesus said we are to have the faith of God. In today’s verse He shows us how the God kind of faith works. Notice how many times the word “say” is used in some form. Four times. Notice how many times the word “believe” is used. One time. We will have to do much more “saying” than “believing” if we are to have God’s faith operative in our lives.
The Message Bible says: “And nothing will be too much for you. This mountain, for instance: Just say, ‘Go jump in the lake’—no shuffling or shilly-shallying—and it’s as good as done.”
Faith always works through words. God’s Word created everything we see, and our words have power to produce miracles if we will believe what we say in our hearts when we say it. God’s faith always speaks the desired result before we see it happen.
The words I speak with my mouth, and that I believe in my heart, work for me.
