How Important is the Small Amount of Money I Give?

by | Uncategorized

I feel that the amount of money that I can give to God is so insignificant that I don’t even give. What can my small amount do?

The amount you can give to the work of God may not make a difference to your church’s budget, but it is of great significance to God. God looks at the amount in proportion to the funds you have.

The Word of God states,

Now Jesus sat opposite the treasury and saw how the people put money into the treasury. And many who were rich put in much. Then one poor widow came and threw in two mites (3/8 of a penny), which make a quadrans.

So He called His disciples to Him and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all those who have given to the treasury; for they all put in out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all that she had, her whole livelihood.”
(Mark 12:41-44)

It is also important for you to give, no matter how small the amount may seem, because God can only financially bless the person who sows (gives) of his or her finances.

Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.
(2 Cor. 9:10-11)
