Inviting God into Your Story

by John Bevere | Uncategorized

God, not you, made marriage. His Spirit inhabits even the smallest details of marriage….
(Mal. 2:15 MSG)

In the beginning, before any other institution was established, marriage was made. God made marriage, and it is very important to Him—so important He desires to be intimately involved in every aspect of your relationship. His Word says, “The Spirit Whom He has caused to dwell in us yearns over us and He yearns for the Spirit [to be welcome] with a jealous love” (James 4:5 AMP).

Stop and think. Have you invited God’s Spirit into every area of your marriage? You can do this whether you’re already married or marriage is still in your future. Is God’s counsel essential to your daily plans? If you have only invited Him in occasionally, how is life different when you forget to involve Him?

You have the privilege of talking with God anytime, anywhere, about anything. Are you struggling with fears, financial challenges, or difficulty communicating? Why not take your concerns to God in prayer?

And we are sure of this, that he will listen to us whenever we ask him for anything in line with his will. And if we really know he is listening when we talk to him and make our requests, then we can be sure that he will answer us. (1 John 5:14-15 TLB)
