“… It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.”
Jesus Christ is at the throne of God at this very moment interceding for each of us. He never grows tired of it and never takes a break from it. Jesus is in heaven seeking for and guaranteeing the hearing of God for us. Another verse says that Jesus ever lives to make intercession for us (Heb. 7:25).
The Message Bible says: “Who would dare even to point a finger? The One who died for us—who was raised to life for us!—is in the presence of God at this very moment sticking up for us.”
What does this intercession mean? You must remember that there is an enemy in this world who purposes to make accusations against all believers. Jesus intercedes for us, He pleads for us, and He petitions God for our success in serving Him.
Nothing is impossible for believers today because Jesus is under-girding us with His intercession and support. With God for us, who can stand against us?
Jesus lives to make intercession to God on my behalf. As I trust Him, everything will turn out fine and dandy.
