Representing All Nations

by | The Spirit Filled Believer

“The Lord has made bare His holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God” (Isa. 52:10).

This verse combines the past and the future. The Lord has bared His arm and the earth shall see His salvation.

The baring of the arm of the Lord took place at the crucifixion of Christ. The ends of the earth began to see the salvation of the Lord at the resurrection of Jesus and will continue to witness the ongoing of that salvation until it is complete. The baring of God’s arm has been accomplished, but the vision of His salvation is not yet totally realized.

At the crucifixion of Jesus, the world was represented. People from over 70 nations were present in Jerusalem because of the Jewish passover feast. The ruling government of Rome set the stage. The Greek culture provided the language used by the principal players. The Hebrew religionists were present to act out their parts. The drama unfolded, as the arm of the Lord was made bare.

You and I enter into this, the greatest drama of human history, by volunteering to take the Good News of man’s redemption to the very ends of the earth. That Good News has not thoroughly penetrated every corner of the globe, but it will.

We all have a role to play in the thrilling fulfillment of this verse. Each of us must do our part to see to is that – all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God!
