God, the Almighty Creator of all, has given us the privilege of partnering with Him to reveal His character and bring His will and ways to the earth. This is true for us both as individuals and as married couples.
In marriage, you and your spouse are God’s representatives to the world. He is “making His appeal” through you, entreating unbelievers to return to Him. So, how appealing are you? If you didn’t know God and you saw a couple modeling your marriage, what aspects would cause you to be drawn to Him? What would turn you away from Him?
Ask the Holy Spirit to show you anything that needs to change—maybe an attitude, action, or aspect of your marriage that doesn’t represent Him well. Whatever the issue, there’s no need to feel condemned or hopeless! Whatever the Spirit shows you, He intends to change. All you need to do is surrender to Him and ask for His help.
