“Your adversary the devil…But resist him firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world.”
The way we stand up against the roaring of our adversary is we stand solid in faith. We must be firmly persuaded that we have authority over his evil works and we exercise that faith through words and deeds. We curb every passion, and we stay on the alert, simply doing what God’s Word declares.
The Message Bible says: “Keep your guard up. You’re not the only ones plunged into these hard times. It’s the same with Christians all over the world. So keep a firm grip on the faith.”
Do not give in to pressure. If you don’t do what God says to do, you won’t get what He says you get. So be established in your faith, be sturdy in your convictions, be determined to resist every roaring attack the devil throws at you, knowing that other believers who are in the world undergo the same troubles. Remember we win!
I steadfastly resist the devil, I stand firm in my faith, I believe the Word of God.
