Say It Like It Is

by Jerry Baysinger | Uncategorized

Lots of people trap themselves with the words that come out of their own mouths. And they will say, “Well, I’m just saying it like it is. You wouldn’t expect me to lie, would you?”

No, I wouldn’t. But whether you realize it or not, you may not really be “saying it like it is.”

The devil right now may be running rampant in your household, trying to convince you that sickness is God’s will for you, or that poverty is God’s will for you. Ever catch yourself saying, “When the flu is going around, I always catch it,” or “I always run out of money before I run out of month”?

And then it happens, just like you said.

So, unwittingly, you may be agreeing with the devil’s lies, thinking that’s just the way your life has to be. I have news for you today; that isn’t the way it has to be.

Framing Your World
If you will get into God’s Word, and I mean really get into God’s Word, you will quickly see that your own words have a lot to do with how your world is framed.

Now there are some who will get into the ditch with that, but I’m wanting to stay in balance here. Let’s look at Proverbs 6:22, “Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.”

Now look in Genesis 1:2, where it says, “And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.”

If you want to say it like it is, you’d have to say it’s dark. But God didn’t say “It’s dark!” He said, “Let there be light.” There wasn’t any light until He said so.

“But,” you say, “that’s God speaking, not a man.”

That’s right. But didn’t God create man in His likeness, in His image? He created man, and only man, to use words to change his world.

Never have I heard a duck speak and someone come out of a wheelchair healed. However, I have heard a man speak and a duck came out of a kitchen cooked.

When a person speaks, things happen. There is a creative force there at work, whether we realize it or not. And this creative force was never given to animals.

For example, a believer in Christ Jesus may speak the Word of God to a person in a wheelchair, and by the power in the name of Jesus, that person can rise and walk.

By looking at the circumstances, we would have to say that it’s impossible. But with the Word of God, all things are possible to him who believes. By the same token, to him that believes not, all things are not possible.

To those of you who have sickness in your body and constantly are saying, “I believe God will heal me someday,” let me ask you this: when do you expect God to heal you?

This is a very important question. For the LORD says, “today” is the day of salvation. I want you to be able to know the tactics of your enemy, the devil. So many people tell me, “I just love to talk about Jesus, I don’t want to talk about the devil.”

Wake up! You need to know your enemy! And you need to know how he works! The devil will always try to “put your faith off” till another day, so that he can rob you of another day of health. If he can put you off until tomorrow, he can put you off till next week, or next year, or “someday.”

And unless you can bring your faith into line with the word of God, you will never have your healing. If you study Mark 11:24, it says, “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

You will notice the words “believe” and “receive” are both present tense, not future tense. God wants us to receive when we pray, and He wants us to believe when we pray.
