When you place the Word of God in your heart by confessing what God has said about you, you create a success image in your human spirit. That spirit is where your treasure is (the Word), and the world cannot take that away. Adverse circumstances and the storms of life may come, but what is firmly established in your heart cannot be taken away.
Let’s look at a misunderstood scripture that sheds light on this subject:
Sell that you have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not.
(Luke 12:33)
Traditionally, we have misinterpreted this verse to mean that we are laying up treasures in heaven which are unavailable to us on earth. We won’t need money in heaven; we need it here on the earth.
Your Bag is Your Spirit (Heart)
When Jesus said, “Provide yourselves bags which wax not old,” He didn’t mean to get a purse that you would use in heaven! What part of you doesn’t get old? Paul said, Though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day (2 Corinthians 4:16). According to Paul, the part of you that doesn’t wax old is your human spirit. Your inward man is renewed day by day; it never ages.
The Greek word for treasure in Luke 12:33 means deposit. Jesus is saying that, by giving, you are providing yourself (the human spirit) as a bag, a purse, or a container, in which you store or deposit God’s Word (the Treasure). Moths can’t corrupt this bag; neither can thieves steal it because this container is the heart.
Jesus said, “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” The treasure isn’t being stored for you to get later in heaven. It’s in your heart—the production center of God’s Kingdom. This is God’s Kingdom at work on the earth.
Your Need Has Been Supplied
Inflation is a thief, but it can’t steal what you put in your heart. Put God’s Word in your heart, and thieving circumstances will not be able to rob you. Confess daily: “I have given, and it shall be given unto me. I sow bountifully; therefore, I’m reaping bountifully. My God meets all of my need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus”.
Paul wrote the Phillippian church and said, “My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Phil. 4:19). He used the word need, not needs.
Prior to this, he had said, “…no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only…ye sent once and again unto my necessity” (v15- 16). The Phillippians had been obedient to the laws of prosperity and had hidden the good Word of God in their hearts. Because they gave to help Paul, God’s servant, then God was promising to supply all their need. He was saying that their needs wouldn’t pile up, but that they would have one need at a time and that he would meet each need as it came due.
The promise came because they had stored the Word of God in their hearts and acted on it by giving. According to Luke 12:33, when we sell what we have and give alms, we are provided a treasure in the heavens that faileth not.
If you will begin to apply these principles today, then you will make your way prosperous and you will have good success.

After reading a book by Kenneth E. Hagin entitled, "Authority of the Believer", Charles and Peggy's life took on a new dimension of travel and ministry as Charles became known for his teaching gift and insight on the subjects of faith and confession. Invitations to minister to the Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship International (FGBMFI) began to pour in, eventually leading to the publication of his teachings in book form. "The Tongue a Creative Force" and "God's Creative Power(r) Will Work for You" became bestsellers after Buddy Harrison, Kenneth Hagin's son in law, launched his publishing company with these two classics. These two books have sold millions (the God's Creative Power(r) series has sold over 5 million copies) and are still much in demand today.
We celebrated Charles' promotion to heaven at 5:15 pm Sunday, February 23, 2014. He informed the family and close friends on Friday that he would be going home to heaven in 3 days. After having some final words with family and friends on Saturday, he went to bed, went to sleep and never awoke. (He kept saying, "I want to go in my sleep.") His wife and daughters had the privilege of being with him as he finally got that glorified body he always talked about. Charles Capps was a man of integrity, a man of his word and he got what he said. He called those things that be not as though they were.
