The Scriptures give us the complete plan so we can access the provision God provides for us.
The Blood Represents Life
We know the blood represents life and is required for our atonement. Atonement is the foreshadow of redemption. In Leviticus 17:11 it says, “For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.”
Christ Redeemed Us From the Curse.
We know Ephesians 1:7 says that Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by His blood because it says, “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins…”
We Access the Spirit Realm Through Words of Faith.
We access the spirit realm and apply the blood of Jesus through words of faith. Romans 10:8 says: “But what does it say? ‘The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart’ (that is, the word of faith which we preach).” There is power in the Word, the name and the blood. The Word is near you. It is in your mouth!
Some people tell me, “When the devil is coming against me, I don’t know what to say.” Speaking the Word of God will set you free. The world has its own methods for freedom, but only God’s method of putting His Word in your mouth and heart will defeat the devil. Psalm 91 is the kind of ammunition that will pick you up and set you on high places. It says: “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust” (Ps. 91:1-2).
Did you notice that verse two says, “I will say of the Lord?” The Scripture says you choose to claim what God says with your mouth.
Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, and see the reward of the wicked. Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.
You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.
(Ps. 91:3-16)
This is what God wants to do for you. Look carefully because this Scripture tells you that God wants to protect you. It says God wants you to be set free. God wants to lift you up. This scripture promises that the angels will come and minister to you. It promises that God will be your shield and your buckler.
It promises that when you’re in trouble, God will be right there with you. He will take care of you. But verse two says, “I will say.” You choose to claim and confess what God says is true with your mouth.
There is no distress with God because He’s always here. He’s our refuge. He promises to cover us with His wings. As long as we receive what He has for us by faith and acknowledge and stand upon it, there’s nothing that can destroy us because the enemy would have to go through God to get to us…and he can’t.
