The Good Life

by Andre Butler | The Anointed Word

“But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver” (2 Cor. 9:6-7 KJV).

Blessing others is the good life. The man who sows bountifully is a liberal giver, and he will reap bountifully. But notice the purpose of it is that you may abound to every good work. So right off the bat I have a promise here.

God is going to cause the anointing to get on me. That anointing is going to cause me to reach a point where I always have what I need when I need it, and the reason why God is going to do that is so that I can abide in, I can look for, I can chase after and run down good works and give to them.

The ministry is doing a good work – I can give to it. If somebody just needs money – I can give to them. I can do it I have the ability.

See this is the other half of the good life, because the good life is not just receiving. In this scripture you see both halves. The first half is that I receive enough where I always have plenty of everything; but that is the weaker half. The stronger half is every time somebody needs something, God can lead me to give.

I can give them what they need and not even think about it. Then once they receive their blessing, I can watch them lift their hands and give God praise and glory, and dance and shout, and say look what the Lord has done. And God has used you to do it. That is the good life.

God says you – the liberal giver – will always have enough of everything. The liberal giver is the one who gives all over the place. They give abroad, they give to the poor. And Psalm 112:9 says that your righteousness remains forever.

You go to heaven based on your faith. You are not saved by works you are saved by faith. But when you get there, you are rewarded for your works that you did as a believer. This is one of the works, if the righteousness remains forever.

The deeds done are seed that remain, not just in this life, but forever. In other words when you get in heaven you get rewards because of your obedience in this area.

But the only man who can disperse abroad is the man who always has “all sufficiency in all things.” That must mean God wants everybody to be in that position. To be in that position, all you have to do is be a liberal giver, and experience the good side of life. It is good when you can give to every godly work.
