The Mystery Revealed

by Larry Ollison | Uncategorized

If we read Ephesians 1:7-9, we learn “…His grace which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, having made known to us the mystery of His will….”

Here in this scripture God says, “He has made known to us the mystery of His will.” It is His desire to make known to us the mystery of His will. It may be a mystery to the world, but it is not a mystery to us because we have the revelation of the Word.

The world does not have the revelation of the Word. You cannot have the revelation of the Word when you are in the world.

“But as it is written: ‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.’ But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit…” (1 Cor. 2:9-10).

All the Spirit of God is going to tell an unbeliever is, “You need Jesus. You need the blood. You need the Name. You need the Word. You need to get saved.” That’s because the scripture says that no one comes to the Father except one be drawn.

“No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day” (John 6:44).

“There is only one way to the Father and that is through Jesus. Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me'” (John 14:6).

Once you get saved, all of the mystery is available. It is available to any Christian who is willing to read the manual. Before you get saved, the deep mysteries of God will always be mysteries. But after salvation, revelation of the mysteries is available. Once we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, the veil over the Word is removed and through study and meditation the thing that was once a mystery now comes to light.

“And He said to them, ‘To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to those who are outside, all things come in parables'” (Mark 4:11).

“But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned” (1 Cor. 2:14).

“Having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth – in Him” (Eph. 1:9-10).
