“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”
We will be filled with power and we will be witnesses for Jesus after the Holy Spirit enables us. We try so hard at times to do the right things. We desire to be good Christians and leave a good influence on others for Jesus.
But if we could successfully accomplish this on our own then everyone would be doing it. We need the power of the Holy Spirit in us and upon us to do His will.
The Message Bible says: “What you’ll get is the Holy Spirit. And when the Holy Spirit comes on you, you will be able to be my witnesses in Jerusalem, all over Judea and Samaria, even to the ends of the world.”
We witness about Jesus in many different ways. Sometimes we use words. But our conduct sometimes shouts so loud our words aren’t heard. So always use love. To do God’s will we need God’s power. Living full of the Holy Spirit is God’s plan for you.
I receive power to live for Jesus and be His witness from the Holy Spirit today.
