Folu Gisanri grew up in Lagos, Nigeria and moved to Minnesota in 1986. Folu gave his life to Jesus in 1992. Folu graduated from Metropolitan State University with a B.A., Juvenile Probation and Administration in 1993. Folu also completed a Bachelor of Theology degree from Maranatha College in 2006.

Folu met his wife, Tammara, in 2001 and has been married since 2003. He has been involved in evangelism, prayer ministry, and Christians United for Israel. Folu joined the staff of Living Word Christian Center in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota in 2013 as part of the Small Groups/Volunteer Development team and became part of the pastoral staff in 2014.

Pastor Folu is actively in pursuit in the coming to pass of an outbreak of the Spirit and power of God and outpouring not seen by this generation.
