Do You Give Respect To Older Colleagues At Work?

by Steve Marr | Articles, Business

Do you give older colleagues at work the respect they deserve?

Scripture relates, “A gray head is a crown of glory” (Prov. 16:31 NASB).

One of my biggest mistakes when I was younger was not giving enough respect to older co-workers and tapping into all the experience they had to offer. I would listen but usually discount their perspectives.

Young leaders will improve management performance when they balance their newer ideas with the experience of others.

Give equal weight to this experience, and then add to that experience your newer leadership ideas, and you will have the strongest leadership team possible.
