Don’t Talk About Colleagues Behind Their Backs

by Steve Marr | Articles, Business

Have you ever criticized colleagues in private but would not repeat the criticism to them in person?

Jesus said, “I have spoken openly…and I spoke nothing in secret” (John 18:20, NASB).

Any criticism we speak to our boss, his or her boss or other colleagues should be words we would repeat to the person’s face.

Jesus always confronted people directly and never spoke ill of someone whom he had not spoken to directly.

I have heard managers complain about staff many times. I have asked the simple question, “Have you told them how you feel?” Often, they have not.

Speak directly to others and watch the improvement.
