Full Assurance Of Hope

by Tim Davidson | A Verse A Day

“And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope until the end.”

(Heb. 6:11 NASB)

Believing God would be easy if it was instant. If we always saw the answer as soon as we asked, trusting God wouldn’t even have to be a factor. But faith in God always deals with things we can’t see just yet. So we need to hold on to trusting God all the way to the end of the trial and the answer has come.

The Message Bible says: “And now I want each of you to extend that same intensity toward a full-bodied hope, and keep at it till the finish.”

Each one of us must show the diligence and earnestness of our hope all the way through our struggles. We will then enjoy the full assurance of our desired result, counting it ours all the way to the end.

We must keep up our eagerness and our energy in trusting God. Stay focused even if the answer seems to be delayed. We have full assurance that God’s Word is true and God always comes through in time. Spiritual things aren’t always instant, but they are always worth the wait.

Today’s Thought to Take With You:

I will trust God’s Word today and not become discouraged even if I don’t see the answer I desire right away.

Jesus, My Lord

"Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am." (John 13:13) It is right and good to call Jesus our Lord, for He certainly is that. But what does it mean? "Lord" means supremacy or supreme in authority. Jesus is our Lord the minute we accept Him. "Lord"...
