Positioned for Blessings

by Keith Butler | The Anointed Word

“And the Lord God took the man and put him into the Garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it” (Gen. 2:15 KJV).

To dress means to work, to serve, and to till. To keep means to watch over and to preserve. God put the man in the garden and gave him a job. And being where God wants you is absolutely vital when operating in the blessings of God.

That’s why you must pray. You’ve got to find out where you’re supposed to be. And when you find out, don’t let anything move you from that place no matter how rough it may become. God has you there for a purpose, and you must accomplish that purpose.

If God puts you in a certain job and you know you’re in this job by the Holy Ghost, it may get a little rough in there. That doesn’t mean you should move. Just because you don’t like it any more or because the people are rough doesn’t mean you should move.

If God sends you there, and He doesn’t tell you to move, don’t you move. You’re going to move yourself right of your blessing.

God knows what He’s doing. You prayed before God before you moved. You acknowledged Him in this, as well as in all your ways and let Him direct your path. You didn’t just grab something because it came along.

All the more reason then that you shouldn’t leave that position until the Holy Ghost gives you clearance. Find out from Him whether or not you should leave. Find out where you’re supposed to be, and be there.

Now when you’re where God wants you to be, that’s when the blessings come. See, I’m where God wants me to be. That’s why I’ve always done whatever God said to do instead of what people thought about it. And when I find out what God says, that’s where I’m going because that’s where the blessing is.

Get where God wants you to be and then the blessings can flow.

Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field. (Zech. 10:1 KJV) Prayer changes things. God does not move in the earth unless someone asked him. And He...
