“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
Jesus stated that He is the way, the truth, and the life. No one goes to the Father except through or by means of Jesus. Jesus is the truth. That’s an interesting assertion in the light of our society today that claims there are no absolutes, no judgments, no rights, no wrongs, and no consequences.
The Message Bible says: “Jesus said, ‘I am the Road, also the Truth, also the Life. No one gets to the Father apart from me.'”
For us to get to our heavenly destination, Jesus said that He is not only the way in which to go, but He is also the truth we must come to. The reason some struggle all the time is because they will not deal with the facts and reality in their life because they find them negative.
The truth is that Jesus only saves people who know they are lost. We must accept that we are required to deal truthfully in all the situations we face concerning others and ourselves in this life.
Jesus is the truth. To get to the Father I must deal truthfully with my situations even when that may hurt.
