“He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.”
God has offered the same thing to all. He didn’t leave one person outside His redemption plan. All who believe on Jesus shall be saved and receive the gift of eternal life. It isn’t a question of love. God loves the world as much as He loves His saints. The difference is in accepting or rejecting Jesus as Lord and Savior. Only those who accept the Son of God have His life.
The Message Bible says: “So, whoever has the Son, has life; whoever rejects the Son, rejects life.”
The truth of this verse is a painful and sobering issue for many to deal with. It says that anyone without Jesus does not have eternal life. People try to skirt this with all manner of justification and exception. In reality it is clear. We must bring the Word of God to people so they see Jesus. When our friends, family and loved ones see Jesus as He truly is, they will want to accept Him and not reject Him. So boldly declare it. He who has the Son has His life, and he who doesn’t have the Son is lost.
I believe on Jesus the Son of God and I therefore have, right now, the Life of God.
