“But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

(1 Cor. 15:57)

God is for us and in no way against us. It’s Satan, the enemy of our soul, who pushes us down; it’s never God. Remember, Jesus paid such a great price to lift us up that He would never put us down. God loves us and He’s the one who decided to give us the victory through Jesus.

The Message Bible says: “But now in a single victorious stroke of Life, all three—sin, guilt, death—are gone, the gift of our Master, Jesus Christ. Thank God!

By our relationship with Jesus Christ, God gives us strength to overcome all the trials we face. When He gives us the victory it means that He hands us the spoil of an already settled contest. The end result has already been determined and God declares us the victors. We triumph. Why worry? Why wonder? We win!

Today’s Thought to Take With You:

I give God thanks because in Christ Jesus I have already won today’s contests. I can’t fail because I have the victory.
